Club Membership

We are a non-profit organisation and run entirely by volunteers.  We are affiliated to Archery GB and YAA and as such it is mandatory for all of our members to also be members of Archery GB and YAA.  You must also show competence in archery to become a member, see our section on beginners’ courses for more details. The benefits of each element of membership are detailed here:

  • South Leeds Archers provide the facilities for our members to shoot.  We have our own 24/7 indoor range, and provide outdoor archery in the summer months at Woodkirk Valley FC’s ground just a few minutes away. We provide free ongoing coaching including one-to-one coaching with our Level 2 coaches who will support you to meet your archery goals.
  • Archery GB are the governing body for target archery in the UK. They provide support to archery clubs, run National competitions as well as managing elite archers to International and Olympic level.
  • Northern Counties Archery Association and Yorkshire Archery County support clubs in the region and provide judges for club and county level events, they provide a pathway for elite archers to County and Regional level.

We recognise that we may not be your nearest archery club, you can use the Archery GB club finder via their new website: https://startarchery.co.uk  to search for any clubs nearer to you.  Try to visit them in person if you can to see if the club and facilities are right for you.
