As a finale to the indoor season we shot a fun shoot with neighbours Wakefield Archers. We mixed the teams up and set about some fiendish challenges. Great fun and a good send off. We hope to meet them head to head again outdoors this season.
South Leeds Archers members raised over £940 with two events to support the Red Nose Day appeal 2024. Last year we started some friendly tournaments with our closest archery club neighbour. At the end of the indoor season SLA held the Challenge Cup. In November Wakefield came to us and won the cup, and yesterday we won it back in a close match. Its great fun and for novices that have never tried …
On Sunday 10th December archers decended on the club to take part in part2 of our indoor series of opens. This time it was the Worcester Round – 60 arrows from 20 yards on the infamous 16 inch black and white target. The results can be found here (or in the Tournaments tab) Well done …
This year’s indoor tournament series began yesterday with the Portsmouth Round, 48 competitors from nearly 20 different clubs across England took part. Thank you everyone who attended and to those that supported the event.
